Youtube and Indian Premier League have signed an agreement which will bring a whole new dimension to Internet TV. As Reported by theNextweb under the agreement, Youtube will stream the third season of IPL live on it’s website. This comes as a relief to cricket fans over the world who had no other options to watch IPL than on the Idiot Box.

This agreement takes streaming of Live Sports to the Internet and will give Youtube an image of more than a video sharing site. On the other side, it will help BCCI to further propogate the game of cricket through IPL 3 .

Streaming Live has not been a problem for Youtube, it has done so earlier with U2’s Rose Bowl Concert to more than 10 Million Viewers. So it would not be a problem with the Live Streaming.

At this point of time, however nothing has been said about whether this would be a cost based service or free of cost, considering the fact that many sports channel allow premium users to watch live stream at a certain cost. So will Youtube would charge or not charge ?? For that we will have to wait for an official declaration by both the concerned parties.
