Steve Jobs unveiled the much hyped Apple tablet amongst applauses and breakdowns on the interwebs. Guess what is it named ?? iTablet , iSlate ?? No, Apple has chosen to name it’s latest gadget Apple iPad.
Here is a quick look at what Apple iPad seems to be at the moment
1) 0.5 inches thin and weighs at 1.5 pounds, the iPad is thinner and lighter than any other netbook
2) 9.5 inch IPS display
3) Rotate it any direction you want to, and the screen will adjust. You can resize it according to your wish.
4) Built in Virtual Keyboard, Multi Touch Sensors
5) 10 hours of battery life (Over one month standby time).
6)What does Apple iPad run on ??
“iPad is powered by our own custom silicon. Our own chip. It’s called the A4, and it screams.” 1GHz. 16, 32, or 64GB of flash storage. “It’s got the latest in wireless: 802.11n, WiFi, and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR.”

10) Apple has struck a deal with AT&T for data plans. The terms of the deals are

11) Basic Model Pricing starts at $499 and goes on increasing till $829. Apple plans to ship iPad’s in 60 days. $130 for adding 3G model is a bit over priced.

First Look : There was too much hype around before the release of the tablet. The name has been something that has been a surprise 
. At first look, it is something like the big brother of iPhone.
Keeping in mind, it is an Apple product, the basic model pricing is cheap but adding $130 for 3G is quite an overkill. Only time will tell how the data plan with AT&T works out. Nothing sort of an innovation but again marketing tactics have went on to garner huge publicity for Apple.
